The basic AOL story is that Roland Burris will soon be sitting in the Senate as the junior Senator representing Illinois. In the above picture, Democratic Senators Harry Reid and Dick Durbin are all smiles as they refuse to allow Roland Burris in the Senate after he was selected by Illinois Governor Blagojevich to fill the term vacated by President-elect Barack Hussein Obama.

Illinois Governor Blagojevich has been charged by the federal government with trying to sell Senator Obama's vacated, and barely used, Senate seat. Following which, the Democrats had loudly trumpeted that anyone appointed by Governor Blagojevich would not be seated in the Democrat controlled Senate.

Soap Box Ravings notes again that a Democrat and his or her principles are easily separated. You really have to wonder just what it takes to embarrass a politician, regardless of their party.
